Your phone is the timer
GPS speed and motion sensors, fused into one number and timed to the hundredth of a second. No dongles, no external GPS.
Every metric, automatically
Arm it once and PitLaunch captures the whole run for you.0–60 mph¼ mile60–0 brakingpeak g
Private by design
No accounts, no servers, no tracking or ads. Your runs and details stay on your device and leave only when you choose to share them.
Share & compare
Turn any run into a shareable card, keep a full history, and line your times up against your friends’.
Exactly what you’ll see.
Real screens, not renders — the live G-meter, a run mid-flight, and the cards every run becomes.

Three taps from parked to a timed run.

Set up before you roll
Mount your phone where you can see it, pick your run and arm the timer — all before you set off. Eyes on the road, not the screen.
- 02
Launch
When you go, PitLaunch detects the start automatically and clocks every split in real time — 0–60, the quarter, peak g, the lot.

See your number
Your time lands the moment you back off. Save it, try to beat it, and share the run card with whoever needs convincing.

Good questions, answered.
How accurate is PitLaunch?
It fuses GPS speed with your iPhone's motion sensors to time runs to the hundredth of a second. As with any phone-based timer, results depend on signal quality, how the phone is mounted and the surface — so treat them as a very good estimate rather than a certified figure.
Do I need any extra hardware?
No. Just your iPhone — no OBD dongles, no external GPS, no wiring. Mount it, arm it, drive.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone. PitLaunch has no accounts and no servers of its own, so your runs, driver details and settings never leave your device. There's no advertising or analytics tracking either.
Is it safe and legal to use?
Only use PitLaunch where it's legal and safe — a private track, closed course or legal drag strip. Set it up before you set off, or have a passenger operate the phone, and always obey speed limits and local laws. Never interact with the app while driving.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone, on a recent version of iOS. PitLaunch is available on the App Store.
